DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
United Way fights for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLE
We take the broadest possible view of diversity.
We value the visible and invisible qualities that make you who you are.
We welcome that every person brings a unique perspective and experience to advance our mission and progress our fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community.
We believe that each United Way community member, donor, volunteer, advocate, and employee must have equal access to solving community problems.
We strive to include diversity, equity, and inclusion practices at the center of our daily work.
We commit to using these practices for our business and our communities.
Join us in embracing diversity, equity and inclusion for every person in every community.
Our Pledge to You
At United Way of Grayson County, our business is to invest and manage your gift wisely. We know that you think carefully before giving, and we thank you for the trust you express in us through your generous contributions of time and money. Our goal is to maximize the dollars we raise and invest your gift strategically in local agencies, programs and services with the goal of helping local people live their best lives.
Every year United Way Grayson County engages a certified public accountant to perform an annual audit of our accounting records, policies, procedures and any allegations that may come up. This engagement is managed by the Finance Committee and the results are reported to and approved by the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. United Way Grayson County has consistently achieved an “unqualified opinion” (clean opinion).
IRS Form 990
In conjunction with the audit, the United Way Grayson County auditor prepares the IRS Form 990 Tax Return for Nonprofits. The IRS Form 990 provides a great level of detail about our programs and also go through a vigorous review and approval process.
